To be honest, I really don't know what to make of the IRS's new policy of attacking Jewish charities that don't toe the administration line in its opposition to Israel. In some ways, it's just too overwhelming to process.
As exposed by Daniel Greenfield in the Canada Free Press, the IRS now has an official policy of referring Jewish charities to "a special unit in the D.C. office to determine whether the organization's activities contradict the Administration's public policies".
This alarming development came to light in a brief filed by Z STREET, a pro-Israel organization that has been accused by the IRS of not being "educational" in its outlook towards Israel. Basically this means the IRS is saying they are bunch of liars who are intentionally misleading the public to believe that Israel is not an outlaw state.
Apparently it's all right to build a towering monument to religious intolerance near Ground Zero if you're Muslim, but if you're Jewish and you want to support Israel against the terrorists, you can pound sand.
According to Z STREET president Lori Lowenthal Marcus, "Not only is it patently un-American but it is also a clear violation of the First Amendment for a government agency to penalize an organization because of its political position on Israel or anything else".
